The D2H succeeded the D1H as Nikon’s speed-focused professional DSLR, using a novel LBCAST sensor and a faster processing pipeline to sustain long high-speed bursts for sports and photojournalism. Resolution was modest at around 4.1 megapixels, prioritizing buffer depth and write speed instead. It uses the native Nikon F mount, with AI/AI-S metering and AF/AF-S autofocus support.
