The D800E is a variant of the D800 with the optical low-pass filter’s blurring effect effectively cancelled, trading a small risk of moire for maximum sharpness from the same 36.3-megapixel sensor. It’s aimed at studio and landscape photographers who prioritize resolving power. It uses the native Nikon F mount, with AI/AI-S metering and AF/AF-S autofocus support.
