The D810A is an astrophotography-specific variant of the D810, using a modified infrared-cut filter for greater sensitivity to hydrogen-alpha wavelengths and adding long-exposure modes aimed squarely at night-sky photographers. It shares the D810’s 36.3-megapixel full-frame sensor otherwise. It uses the native Nikon F mount, with AI/AI-S metering and AF/AF-S autofocus support.
