The EOS Rebel T1i was the first Rebel to record Full HD video, alongside a 15.1-megapixel APS-C sensor and DIGIC 4 processing. It uses the EF/EF-S mount with full electronic contacts and a 1.6x crop factor. The 44 mm flange distance is shorter than most 35mm SLR mounts, so adapted vintage lenses (M42, Pentax K, Olympus OM, Nikon F) work well for manual-focus video. Sold as the EOS Kiss X3 in Japan and the EOS 500D in Europe.
