The EOS Rebel T3 is an entry-level DSLR with a 12.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, DIGIC 4 processing and 720p video, aimed at first-time buyers. Its EF/EF-S mount with full electronic contacts accepts EF and EF-S lenses at a 1.6x crop factor. The short flange distance also allows simple adapters for older manual-focus lens mounts. Sold as the EOS Kiss X50 in Japan and the EOS 1100D in Europe.
