The EOS Rebel XSi introduced a 12.2-megapixel sensor, DIGIC III processing and Live View to the Rebel line, and was the first in the series to record to SD/SDHC cards instead of CompactFlash. The EF/EF-S mount keeps full electronic contacts and a 1.6x crop factor, so both EF and EF-S lenses are supported. Sold as the EOS Kiss X2 in Japan and the EOS 450D in Europe.
