The EOS-1D was the first model in Canon’s professional 1D digital line, built for sports and press photographers with a 4.15-megapixel APS-H CCD sensor, 8 fps continuous shooting and a rugged weather-sealed body. The APS-H sensor gives a 1.3x crop factor. It uses the EF mount with full electronic contacts, so all EF lenses work, but EF-S lenses are not supported.
